Christmas Wishes

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We spend it with a couple of our kids and their families and even got to bring out oldest home with us for the rest of the weekend. It is always a joy to have her around. We do projects and hang out together. If she has homework to do she does that while I am either crafting or on the computer. She has read all of the Twilight books and so have I. Since she hasn't seen New Moon yet, we are going to try and fit that in this weekend also. I am glad that we can do things like that together and even better than she wants to share things like that with me.
Now onto my card. This for a challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps!! The challenge was to make a Christmas/Winter card. I just loved this image called Ozzie and Harriet and wanted to color it right away. I am thnking about using it for my Christmas cards since it is only my husband and I. The colors I chose to use are PTI Spring Rain, Scarlet Jewel and Stampers Select white. I love this color combination. I colored it with my copics and used some nesties to cut it out. The ribbon is Scarlet Jewel polka dot. I used a label punch from Stampin' Up! and a circle punch to place the sentiment on top and put some pearls on top and bottom. I used some stickles for the ice.
That is about it for me today,
Have a wonderful weekend,
Thanks for stopping by,

.RSCC #19 I'm so Grateful....

Hello, back again with another post for you. I have had a little extra time in my craft room the last couple of days and feel I have gotten several things done that I wasn't sure I would be able to. This card is for Dawn McVey's Raspberry Sweet color challenge. Aren't the colors so pretty for this color challenge. That is an actual T-shirt that Dawn is wearing in the photo.
I have to admit that I was a little leary of these colors. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and give it a try. I was lucky enough to have my order arrive early yesterday morning while I was in the craft room so I was able to use a couple of my new stamps, The card base is Raspberry Fizz. I used my Turning A New Leaf set stamp the tree branch in Spring Moss on Aqua Mist CS. The little bird is from Birds of a Feather stamped with Dark Chocolate. I layered it on Lavendar Moon and punched the bottom with a new border punch from Martha Stewart. The sentiment is stamped in Dark Chocolate from Dawn's new set Signature greetings. I love how it is hadwritten and it is even better since it isn't my handwriting. I used Dark chocolate ribbon.
Have a good day. I may have more posts later so check back.
Thanks for coming by,

November Papertrey Blog Hop...

Good evening, everyone!! It is hard to believe that it is already time for another PTI blog hop. This year just seems to be zipping by.

I was finally able to get my project done for tonight. I was sure if I was going to be able to. But I am sure glad that I did.

These tags I have had in my mind for sometime since I saw what the blog hop was going to be. I just received my Labels 6 Nestabilities a few days agao and instantly thought they would be perfect. I used the second largest die. I used my vintage tea dye duo to distress my edges. I stamped the hangers for the ornaments in Encore gold ink. I thought I would just make different colored ornaments with with my vintage buttons. I stamped the gingerbread man with Dark Chocolate and used some Pure Poppy vintage buttons. I popped him up with pop-up dots. The candies were from a set that I happened to come across in my supply. I turned one around so you could see the to/from stamp. I used Holiday Button Bits and 2009 Holiday Tag Collection for the to/from. I used button twine from PTI to make a hanger. I loved how they turned out. I am going to make some more for all my grandkids.

Can't wait to see what all of you have done!
Have a great night and have fun hopping from blog to blog,
Have a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in US.

You're so Sweet!

Good evening! Look at the stamp I won over at Motivet! They are so cute and couldn't believe that I actually won 5 stamps of my choice just for leaving a comment. They are so adorable that it was so hard to choose. Since I got them in time for this weeks challenge, I wanted to ink one up and join in on the fun. I chose this stamp because my husband is a Kansas boy. Their state flower is the Sunflower so now I do things with sunflowers whenever I can. The least I can do since we don't live there. We do make trips there once in a while.
This was a sketch challenge so that was taken care of. I just started putting things together and am pretty happy with the way it turned out. I used one of my new nesties to cut her out. The pattern paper is some that I had in my stash. The border is an Ek Success punch. She is colored with copics. I think the sunflowere turned out a little darker than what I was hoping but I like anyway.
Have a big list of things to do for tomorrow so I have been trying to get some projects in before the deadline. Almost but still a couple of more to go. So you may be seeing more projects in one day.
Have a great evening,
Thanks for stopping by,

No PP or DP....

Hello everyone!! Are you ready for Thanksgiving? It is almost here. The good food, family and friends a good thing.

This card is for a challenge over at The Greeting Farm. The challenge was to not use any designer or pattern paper. I used a cuttle bug embossing folder to make the flowers in the background. I have had this little lady for a little while now and am finally inking her up. I wasn't sure at first how I wanted to use her. This little hippie kind of takes me way back. I am probably going to date myself a little but while in high school during home economics (sewing) I remember making a dress with a nehru jacket with some sort of bright colors. It is so funny because I don't have it now but I can actually picture it as if I just looked at it in my closet. I sort of went with a few of the colors in that dress.

I started by stamping Hippie Anya with Momemto Tuxedo Black on PTI Stamper's Select White and color her with my copics. I so need to more practice and colors. I just love these markers because of the blending and how the colors look. I cut her out with one of my new nestablilities Labels 9. I used Orange Zest from PTI to distress the edges. I also colored the flowers with my copics. The base of the card is Orange Zest. The lime colored ribbon I had in my stash and put some other ribbon I had on top of it.

Happy Holidays!

Happy Monday! Well it is a short week and so much to do. I hope I can fit it all in, in a couple of days. My husband has a really short week. He only works two days and it won't even be his normal hours. It is going to be crazy. It will be nice having him home for pretty much a week. We don't really get to spend too much time together with his work schedule, so we shall see how it goes. Then he is off until Tuesday of next week.

Onto my card for Whimsy Stamps this week. The challenge this week is a Christmas card. We all need ideas, right unless you are one of those that already have them done. I am still working out my ideas so I am not done. Why don't you come over at if it a try. Remember you don't need a Whimsy Stamp to play along, but if you have one we would love to see it!

I thought this week I would do a little different with my card and cut the base out with one of my nesties. Aren't these cute little playful raccoons adorable. I also used the same shape as the card base to cut them out. I used copics to color them. The PP is from Papertrey Ink and so it the ribbon.

Hope you have a wonderful day!!
Thanks for stopping by for a visit,

Finally an easel card!

Hello, well this week is almost over. Tomorrow we are heading over to our daughter's for a birthday party for our grandson. He turned 6 yesterday. I can still remember the day he was born. He was born in Alaska while they were stationed there. It was my first time there and have never experienced that cold of weather. It was nice to see and visit. He has really grown.

I have been wanting to an easel card for sometime since I have been seeing them on lots of blogs so I thought his birthday card would be a good time to make one. I bought this knight and dragon set from MFT sometime back. I don't have many boy stamps. I so need to get more. It doesn't have too much detail on it. I hope he likes it.

The pattern paper is some I had in my stash. I saw the blue and thought of him because that is his favorite color right now. The green and blue CS are from Stampin' UP! but I can't remember the names. I used my Just Right stamps for the "Happy Birthday". I used some silver gems to hold the card like an easel.

That is it for today,
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!
